Zack and Desire' ~ 03.02.2013

It’s not very often that you get to plan and design the wedding for the son of the doctor that delivered you.  Zack and I grew up together, attending the same grade school.  Later on in life when I started my own business, his parents became one of my best clients.  I would decorate their house each Christmas and plan many parties for them.  I met Desire’ a few years ago when I had to rescue the family in the middle of the night by driving them home when they got a flat tire while traveling home from their Christmas vacation!

Last summer I helped decorate a private island on the family’s farm to set the stage for Zack to have the perfect proposal.  When I was asked to help with the wedding, I knew I couldn’t pass up this honor to help make a childhood friend’s wedding be perfect…even if it meant driving 17 hours to Arizona to pull it off!

The wedding was held at the beautiful Superstition Mountain Country Club and Gulf Resort in sunny Arizona.  Zack and Desire’ wanted a very elegant wedding with an abundance of white flowers.  With 2000 roses, 400 hydrangeas, 320 orchids, 100 lilies, and many more flowers, that dream became a reality.  Surrounded by family and friends in a gorgeous setting it was a royal wedding fairytale come true!
